In Aug 2022 Animoca Brands and Lympo announced plans to build Anichess: Claims that Lympo is no longer involved in Anichess are false.
To ensure the successful execution and development of Anichess, Animoca Brands brought in new partners and investors, and assembled a dedicated team consisting of Lympo team members and new talent to work full-time on the project.
Given the partnership with Chess.com and the newly assembled Anichess team, we are excited for what’s coming up. The $1.5m raised by Anichess will allow it to be well supported as it advances its chess-based mission.
We announced that $SPORT will have utility in the Anichess ecosystem (see above announcement) and that is still very much our plan. We appreciate the ongoing support from the Lympo community.
Like Anichess, Lympo is a subsidiary of Animoca Brands and both companies are under one family: We will be hosting an AMA soon to introduce this new team so please stay tuned for future announcements!
